JOB ROLE

CEO, Founder of Naturested

WHAT DID YOU STUDY?

I’ve graduated as a Physical Education Assistant, Personal Trainer, Bachelor of Hospitality Management (tourism field) and Forest Bathing & Meditation guide. I’ll graduate as an Environmental Educator in October 2021. I’m kind of a ”forever learning” person and I enjoy studying now when I have found my passion in the field of education and environment.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO NATURE WELLBEING?

I’ve always been interested about wellbeing, both mental and physical. I’ve also loved nature since I was a child. I grew up in an small town that was close to nature and we spent a lot of time outdoors with my family. When I had tried different jobs I realised that what I really want to do in my life is to teach people how to use nature as a source of wellbeing and act responsible so that we really take care of our beautiful planet. I believe that positive experiences in nature lead to sustainable way of living.

TYPICAL DAY IN YOUR LIFE

My days as an entrepreneur are all a bit different but usually I start my day around 7 am and take my dog for a walk. I eat slow breakfast and start working at home or in a co-working space around 9 am. I have plenty of different projects and things to do such as sales, marketing, content creation and co-operation with the partner companies we work together with. Some days I spend in nature leading forest bathing experiences for our guests such as recreational days for companies. I usually end my day around 17 and meet my friends, go trail running or do some other sports that helps me to get time off from my work. I try to keep a good balance between my work and free time even though I love my job. Time off and relaxation is still super important! :)

WHAT'S NEXT FOR NATURESTED?

Naturested will start forest bathing experiences for families so we will have services for kids as well. :) Environmental education will be bigger part of our services in the future as well.

FAVOURITE PODCAST

Hard to say as there are many good ones! Right now I’m listening ”Vapaudu Voimaasi” by Laura Ihatsu and ”Between the mountains” and venture podcast by Chris Kilworth.

WHAT IS THE BIGGEST LESSON YOU HAVE LEARN IN YOUR CAREER SO FAR?

The biggest lesson I have learned is that your potential can be much higher than you think it is. You just have to find the job that fits to you and brings the best out of you. Life is too short to do anything you don’t enjoy doing and it is so rewarding to work towards your goals when you have found your passion. Also, start before you are ready! If you have a dream, take the first step even though it’s scary. Trust the feeling deep down in your heart and don’t care what others think about your choices. It’s your life and your rules!

FAVOURITE NUARSWIM PIECE?

My favourite one is Taika One Piece. I have it and I love it! I use it also during the winter time when I go for ice swimming and sauna. It’s a perfect fit for my body. :)
